What's New
Venue Hunt
Currently, we are in the process of acquiring a venue for our Portable Instruments Sessions. We aim to acquire either Room A5 at the Merchiston Campus, or the Union Bar at Three Sisters.
Our Events
Note:
Due to limited resources, we are only able to run Portable Instruments Sessions for the time being. We hope that as the society grows, we will be able to facilitate a variety of sessions.
Portable Instruments Session
It is a session for people to bring and play whatever instrument they can carry. It is also an opportunity for participants to try out a variety of instruments and play together. So far, we've had people with instruments like guitars (being most popular), violins, melodion, and vocals. Will you add something new to the list?
- Thursdays 6-9pm: Three Sister's Union Bar, Cowgate
For newcomers we offer any 2 sessions free of charge, where you can pop in an see for yourself the environment that lives within our Society. In order to attend a try-out, you must fill in a Sign-Up Form to ensure your health and safety.
We use WhatsApp as our main method of communication with our society members. We provide information on various events that take place, affairs within the back-end of the society, and publish polls. Our WhatsApp group chat is open to everyone - members and non-members
Recruitment
Every year we elect new Committee Members in our Annual General Meetings (AGMs) to take over our roles and continue running and developing the Society. In order to be elected and/or vote, you MUST possess a society membership.
We have a dedicated Committee to help you with any queries or suggestions you may have for the Society. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to get in touch with us, whether it is to ask a question, or raise your interest in joining the society.
