I made a promise to ensure I keep students updated with what I am working on during my time in the office on because I believe in transparency. Below is my manifesto tracker. As you know, 12 months can be a brief time to complete things, but it is a platform for me to initiate action plans and measure impacts. My other activities will be shared in subsequent posts.

- Started a blog to keep students up to date with what I am currently working on, progress report, achievements, and feedbacks.
- Hosted Programme Rep forums to discuss the issues students are facing and shared the actions taken to resolve them.

- Share on my blog updates from Programme Reps and the work the University is doing that impacts students.
- Respond to students emails within 48 – 72hours.
- Speak with the University to enhance the access to information about the support available to students.

TO WORK WITH THE ACADEMIC TEAM TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF STUDENTS' ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Joined the Curriculum Enhancement framework team to enhance the curriculum across the three schools, by sharing best practices

Joined the Decolonising the Curriculum team in the University.

Attending University Committees (Academic Board, Learning, Teaching, Assessment & Student Experience Committee -LTASEC, Quality and Standards Committee - QSC, Collaborative Provision Committee - CPC).

Raised awareness of Academic Integrity and shared the resources and support available to students.

Decolonising the Curriculum: Work with Academic team and DLTE (Department of Learning and teaching Enhancement) staff on the approach on decolonising the curriculum through courses taught in Napier.

Met with the Principal to discuss increasing partnerships with businesses to ensure more opportunities available to students for work-base experience.
