The Edinburgh Napier Orchestral Society welcomes all orchestral musicians in the University who want to perform with an orchestra. It is a great place for those with a passion for music to connect and meet other students from the university you might not know otherwise! We encourage all students from out with the music department to join the society.
This year we hope to work on some classical pieces together as well as hold workshops where we can experiment with all genres of music for orchestra. We would love to hear from you if you have thoughts on repertoire ideas or want to compose/arrange something for us to play.
Treats are provided at every rehearsal, and we plan social events throughout the year - including bowling - which are planned outside of rehearsals for members to get to know each other!
Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings at 5pm in the Glassroom on Merchiston Campus during term time and we hope to perform in concerts or have recording sessions. Reach out to us on our social media pages for more information and any queries you might have!
The orchestra provides a relaxed environment to play a range of repertoire, so If playing in an orchestra is something you did in school and want to continue as a hobby, then you should come and join us!
