Napier University Archery Club was set up in 2004 and has grown slowly but steadily since then. We are proud to now be counted among the most active, competitive and successful archery clubs in Scotland.
We look forward to welcoming students of ALL standards, whether a pro or someone who doesn’t even know how to hold a bow, to come along and see what we do and give archery a go for themselves. The club provides all coaching and equipment you need to get into the sport. Target archery is about high precision and technical support, which doesn’t require you to be all that fit or strong. The vast majority of people who join us are complete beginners but, with a little dedication, quickly improve into quality athletes.
The club competes in a league with other Scottish universities and at the British University championships too. We also attend open competitions throughout the year and regularly shoot alongside some of the biggest names in archery.
As well as competitions and training, the club also enjoys a very active social aspect. Almost every training session ends in something social and we host monthly events too.
If you have missed our taster sessions, don’t worry because your first two sessions are always free!
We train at the ENGAGE Sports Centre (Sighthill campus) at 15:30 - 17:30 on Sundays.
