FIVE THINGS FOR A FRIDAY
Tonight we dress to impress at the Sports and Society Ball at the ECC. This is your night to shine and celebrate your amazing work with your sports club and society this year and friends to join in on the night or after party. A lot of organisation has gone on by the whole ENSA team behind the scenes and we are all hoping for a great night.
TIKTOK
On our tiktok channel our Varsity Day has had over 30k views and growing. That's what happens when we put you front and centre. As we encourage more people to start societies and get involved in all kinds of sport Varsity is likely to grow bigger and better in future years, whcih will be great to see.
ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS PARTS
Following our planning discussion in January and over the last few weeks our teams have been discussing a major piece of work. This was the Strategic Plan 5 years ago but we are calling it a Student Community Development Plan, which will be ongoing and reviewed every year. It's been put together by our teams (while doing the 'day' job) using information gathered from them, students via the Great Big Student Survey, feedback from events, discussions at Student Council and Forum, Socieites and Sports Forums, the University and the ENSA Board. It will hopefully be all signed off in May and will change how we all co-ordinate ourselves as a team and with the University to make the student experience at Edinburgh Napier University exceptional.
PULSE SURVEY
But how are we doing? We have put out a Pulse Survey, largely for students who do activities in sports clubs, societies, representation and been invoved with our activities to see what you think of ENSA. This will help us direct our resources year on year, based on your feedback. Look out for the link in your email.
STAFF SURVEY
We are going survey crazy it seems! We have about 18 members of staff, who all contribute in amazing ways, and they have all been invited to fill out a staff survey. This is the second year we have done this and it will be benchmarked against last years results. It is a great way to get consistent feedback and can prompt me, as the CEO, to make improvements or keep doing more of what we do well. Like the University we are made of a diverse bunch of people and I think our staff and sabbaticals help and can make the organisation what it is. People make places and it is an ideal opportunity for everyone to take a moment, think about their role, how they can contribute to the success of the organisation and our values and what would make them enjoy the experience more. I look forward to sharing the results of both the Pulse Survey and the Staff Survey to our team soon.
