Society Person of the Month: Megan Porter - Pop Choir

Megan has been a consistently reliable member of the society, both in her role as a choir member and her role on committee. Although only in her first year of a committee role, Megan goes above and beyond to assist with the smooth running of the society. She can always be relied upon to get something done and she will often put herself forward for tasks that need taken care of. She takes her role on committee seriously and her commitment to the society has never been doubted. She has been calm and patient whenever things don’t go well or according to plan and she is always a voice of reason when something is being discussed within the committee.

Megan’s reliability and professionalism has very much helped contribute to the continued improvement of the society both in its performing ability and its social media presence which naturally leads to more recognition for Pop Choir as a talented singing group and larger audiences at our showcases. She’s a friendly face which members like to communicate with.

Sports Person of the Month: Malcolm Cameron - Men's Football (3rds)

Malcolm Cameron from the Mens Football 3rds is described as the catalyst for rejuvenation for the 3rds season. After facing relegation last year Malcolm has stepped up in recent games by putting in some fantastic individual performances that has seen the team rise swiftly up the league table. They’re currently sitting in 2nd place with a chance to win the league. Malcolm has been a regular on the score sheet, scoring a hat trick in their first win in 14th months. His willingness to play a variety of positions to accommodate his team mates shows he’s a true team player with a great attitude. Malcolm’s performance and attitude have had a huge impact and directly correlates with the 3rds turnaround.

3rds Captain Todd Rafferty said:

‘’Malcolm is a fine player-as well as an absolute gentleman both on and off the pitch. He lets his play do the talking. His positional play, work rate and finishing have been second to none this season. We would absolutely not be in the position we are without his performances.’’

3rds Goalkeeper Cammy Jarvie said:

‘’I love Malcolm-what a guy! His hair is perfect!’’
