Following new public health restrictions in Lothian, ENSA has decided to pause all in person training for all sports clubs between the 10th and the 24th of October.
Following a rise in COVID-19 cases across Scotland, the First Minister has announced some new restrictions to help interrupt the upward trajectory of the virus. These restrictions have some implications for all of our clubs.
The new restrictions state:
- no group exercise classes for indoor gyms/sports courts, pools. (Exemption for U18s)
- no contact sports/ training – except professional sports, indoor or outdoor. (Exemption for U18s)
- no outdoor live events.
- public transport should be avoided unless essential for education or work.
Based on these new restriction ENSA has decided to pause all in person training for all clubs between the 10th and the 24th of October.
We are also asking clubs which are not classified as contact sports (eg Athletics, Triathlon, etc), to pause all activities while we discuss safety measures with the club Committee Members. We will be in touch with these committees shortly.
Once again we thank you for your support and your patience at this time.
