Did you miss an exam or a coursework submission in trimester 1?
Should you have applied for a Deferral but missed the deadline for doing so?
If this sounds like you, please read the information below very carefully.
The process of Exceptional Extenuating Circumstances may apply to you if your circumstances were so serious that you could not apply for a Deferral in trimester 1, at the time of assessment.
Importantly, you should not have attempted the exam or coursework. This means you should not have submitted anything via Moodle or uploaded an exam paper or attended an exam in person.
You will need to provide:
• Time-relevant 3rd party evidence to support your application
• Further evidence and a detailed explanation of the extenuating circumstances that prevented you from submitting a Deferral of Assessment application in due time.
The deadline for applying for Exceptional Extenuating Circumstances is the 10th of January.
You can read more about this process on My Napier.
If you need assistance with your application or are unsure if your circumstances apply, please make an appointment with an Adviser here.
