Edinburgh Students’ Association and Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association announce new partnership
From this month, two of Edinburgh’s Students’ Associations are joining forces. The new partnership between Edinburgh Students’ Association (EUSA) and Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association (ENSA) will give Napier students full access to Edinburgh University’s Students’ Association spaces, events and hospitality offerings. This initiative hopes to enrich the Napier student experience by expanding access to events and spaces in Edinburgh, providing more social options and opportunities.
Edinburgh University Students’ Association offers a wide variety of price-friendly student events throughout the year – from club nights to quizzes and open mics – in their Potterrow and Pleasance venues situated in central Edinburgh. Napier students can now access these services at the same rates as Edinburgh students.
The Students’ Associations are collaborating with the aim of creating memorable experiences that bring students together across different backgrounds and interests. They believe that allowing members of each Students’ Association to jointly utilise facilities will help foster a greater sense of community and collaboration among students in Edinburgh.
John Rappa, VP Activities & Services for Edinburgh University Students’ Association said “We are delighted to be partnering with ENSA and welcoming more Napier students to our venues. We are proud of our varied events programme and our great value food and drink offering and are looking forward to enjoying it all together!”
Evans Eghan, ENSA President (Societies & Community) commented "This partnership between ENSA and EUSA marks an exciting new chapter of collaboration, creating fantastic new opportunities for all our students. By coming together, we can offer our students access to more diverse social spaces and activities and create an interconnecting student community across the city.”
All students are encouraged to take advantage by attending upcoming events and visiting the Potterrow and Pleasance venues.
Edinburgh University Students’ Association admits under 18s to their venues and events where all are welcome, and all activities are covered by a Safe Space Policy.
Information on upcoming events at Potterrow and Pleasance can be found here.
About Edinburgh University Students’ Association
"We believe University is about so much more than just getting a degree! Students can discover new passions, share unforgettable experiences and make lifelong friends.
All 49,000 University of Edinburgh students - from Undergraduates to Postgraduate Masters and PhD students - are automatically members of their Students' Association. We're here for them, from their first day through to graduation!
Led for and by students, we are here to enhance the student experience at Edinburgh by providing amazing spaces, entertainment, communities, support and opportunities for students to make their voices heard. And as a registered charity, every penny spent at our shops, venues, or events goes right back into helping students.
We are a separate organisation to the University of Edinburgh, but work in close partnership. Our student representatives sit on a variety of University committees, including University Court to ensure student voices are heard at the highest levels of the University."
About Edinburgh Napier Students' Association
"For over 50 years, Edinburgh Napier Students' Association (ENSA) has been dedicated to enhancing students' experience across our three campuses – Merchiston, Craiglockhart, and Sighthill. As an independent charity, ENSA focuses on providing a wide range of resources for Edinburgh Napier students, including advice, societies, sports clubs, representation, and events. Any profits from our activities go right back into improving the student experience!
While we operate independently from the University, our close partnership with Edinburgh Napier allows us to make sure students' voices are heard.
While we haven't had our own Union Facilities in over 15 years, we work hard to improve recruitment activity and retention, support student wellbeing, organise events, and help students enhance their skills and future employability beyond University."
