Manifesto
A Shared Vision for Napier
Imagine a Napier where stress is managed, deadlines are met with support, and sports are a vital part of student life. I envision a campus that offers world class facilities while fostering inclusivity, mindfulness, and wellbeing. A place where every voice is heard, whether in class or on the sports pitch.
As a Student Ambassador, I've gained valuable insights into our community’s challenges, which fuels my passion for creating a more supportive environment.
Our Wellbeing and Sports
Physical activity enhances mental health, and vice versa. As your President for Sport and Wellbeing, I will integrate these elements to make our campus both a playground and a sanctuary.
Addressing Our Challenges
We the students all face immense pressures from academic stress to financial concerns and isolation. Meanwhile, our sports clubs often lack the resources to thrive. I aim to bridge these gaps.
My Plan
1. Mental Health Support
- Launch a “Wellbeing on Campus” campaign for greater awareness of mental health resources.
- Introduce peer mentorship programs and wellbeing workshops to break stigma and equip students with practical tools.
2. Sports and Physical Activity
- Foster collaboration with sports clubs through regular forums for better funding, scheduling, and support.
- Integrate mental health initiatives into sports events, such as “Mind & Motion Day,” to promote holistic wellbeing.
Leadership
I will lead with collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, empowering every student to take part in creating positive change.
A Call to Action
Together, we can build a Napier where wellbeing and sport are the foundations of our community. Vote for a future where every student feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential!
Let’s make it happen; vote for a healthier, happier Napier!
