Manifesto
I am running for President of Societies and Communities with a passion to enhance the student experience at Edinburgh Napier University. As a student, I have witnessed the incredible power of societies and communities in shaping our university experience, and I am committed to making these spaces more inclusive, engaging, and supportive.
My key goals include:
1. Empowering Societies: I will work to ensure all societies, regardless of size or popularity, receive the support they need. This includes securing better funding, providing guidance on events, and facilitating greater collaboration between societies to strengthen our community.
2. Inclusivity and Accessibility: Every student should feel welcome in a society or community. I will focus on supporting diverse groups, promoting activities that cater to all interests, and ensuring that students with differing needs (e.g., part-time students, commuters, or those with disabilities) feel included.
3.Engagement and Communication: I will improve communication between societies, ENSA, and students to ensure that everyone has easy access to information on events, funding opportunities, and important updates. Regular feedback mechanisms will be in place to listen to your concerns and act on them.
4. Sustainability and Social Impact: I will advocate for eco-friendly practices within societies and work to increase our impact on campus and within the local community, fostering a spirit of social responsibility.
With your support, we can create a thriving, connected, and inclusive society network at Edinburgh Napier. Let’s make our university experience unforgettable!
