Greetings, fellow Napier students!
My name is Chika Marvis, and I am running for the position of Co-President Education and Employability. With a passion for enhancing student experiences and a commitment to driving positive change, I am dedicated to ensuring that every student at Napier university receives the best possible education and employability support.
Vision: Empowering Students for a Brighter Future
My vision is to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed in their academic and professional journeys.
Objectives
Building upon previous successes, I will focus on matters that directly shape course modules to enhance student education and employability, while preserving the gains from last academic year. This will encompass the following areas:
1. Curriculum
for an inclusive curriculum which reflects the diversity of communities and equips students to contribute to a diverse world
Personalized Learning: Advocate for personalized learning approaches to cater to individual learning styles and preferences.
2. Learning and Teaching Delivery
Peer-Assisted Learning: Expand peer-assisted learning programs to provide academic support and mentorship for students across all disciplines.
Accessible Resources: Ensure that learning resources are easily accessible, up-to[1]date, and tailored to meet diverse student needs.
3. Student Partnership
Collaborative Projects: Encourage collaborative projects between students, faculty, and industry partners to bridge the gap between academia and the workplace.
Student Representation: Strengthen student representation in decision-making processes related to curriculum development and academic policies.
