Cyrenians aims to create a sustainable Social Enterprise that takes unwanted wood, tyres, and furniture to create new/upcycled products. We need creative volunteers to help us design new products and DIY volunteers to help us build them.

Food Sharing collects good quality excess food from local businesses and re-distributes it to the community. We also run cooking workshops and advise on food waste reduction.
Trustees oversee the big picture at Food Sharing Edinburgh. We have four spaces on our Trustee Board, and are looking to co-opt enthusiastic individuals onto our team!

Support Samaritans communications and campaigns work in Scotland by creating new, interesting and innovative content for social media, engaging with volunteers in our branches across Scotland to capture their experiences, and find new stories and personal experiences to share with the public. You may also support our other communications and campaigns work in Scotland, including our media and press work.
Food Sharing has a good relationship with a variety of small businesses across Edinburgh, where we collect excess food daily. Tasks for the research assistant include researching best practice in food waste management across Scotland, selecting a set of organisations to be used as case studies, interviewing businesses and writing a practical guide with step-by-step instructions.
Campaigning online with OneKind can be extremely effective. Our online campaigns are designed to have maximum impact and can be critical in delivering better protections for Scotland’s animals. OneKind’s online campaigns support our advocacy in the real world and are intelligence-led. Our staff are experts in their field and are on the front-line of our campaigns. They ensure that the targets, timing and content of any email or social media campaigns are designed to have maximum impact.
Work as part of a team of volunteers to apply for grant funding and to identify sustainable income streams for the Shrub Co-operative. You will work alongside experienced staff to figure out budget requirements and current revenue streams and help develop the Shrubs financial strategy for development.
Whether it be writing to your local MSP about snares or to the Cairngorms National Park about mountain hares, letter writers make a huge impact to those who receive them. We're looking for people to join our letter writing group and volunteer their writing skills to some of our biggest campaigns.
